The Korean technology giant today announced its newest 2017 flagship here in India. LG had sent out the invites for the phone’s launch last week. The LG V30+ brings much more to the table than the usual specs of a flagship smartphone. Moreover, the company chose to launch the phone at a much lower price than the competition, which should give the company an upper hand.
LG was earlier rumoured to launch the LG V30 here in India, but it ended up launching the LG V30+. It is a slightly upgraded variant of the regular V30 with a larger 128GB of internal storage. This variant hasn’t been made available in a lot of markets outside India.
What’s the best part about the LG V30+ is its launch price. LG has priced it at Rs. 44,990, which is a significantly lower price than other flagships including the Galaxy Note 8, which is just a couple of thousands short of Rs. 70,000. The higher end variant of the OnePlus 5T is available at Rs. 37,999, while the Pixel 2’s prices also come down to Rs. 39,999 during the Flipkart sales.
The things LG V30+ does better than the other flagship smartphones include the audio output with the presence of 32-bit Advanced Hi-Fi Quad DAC. B&O Play has done the audio tuning on the phone. It is IP68 rated for water and dust resistance and the phone also has a MIL-STD-810G rating to prove its durability.
Some of the earlier reports suggested that the Indian variant won’t be including these features to cut down the cost. LG somehow managed to include them all while still keeping the prices down.
