It’s the day, finally! The official event was summed up and overall, it was a quite playful and interesting experience watching it. Let’s get on board, the LG G5 brings in a wondrous new design and a bucket full of innovative gadget pals that LG likes to call “LG Friends”. It’s a little early from MWC, but now, it’s time to un-believe stories, talk for what is real, the LG G5 has now been officially announced.

Alike their rivals, LG has brought about a design change to their newly announced flagship – LG G5, it sports a metal unibody design and much more that breaks the chain of the previous G series design language. Okay, let’s cut all the excess, without further ado, let’s talk LG G5!

Design

As talked earlier, LG with it’s new G5, decided to shake their design overall. The phone, unlike LG G4, comes in an all-metal unibody design and rounded edges. Well, remain on your seats, the LG G5 still retains support for removable battery and microSD expansion! Yet if that wasn’t sufficing, there’s more of functionality and features packed in with LG’s new Magic Slot (extends possibilities by supporting the new modules).

Who doesn’t want gorgeous photos and selfies? With that idea in mind, let’s hop on to the camera end. LG has been a beast out here, throwing in 2 cameras at the back with a 16MP main camera with OIS, that might have been improved from the one on V10. The companion camera on the back is an 8MP sensor that allows you to take some super wide-angle photos that go upto 135º. Despite all that, it’s quite early to talk performance, we are yet to have our hands onto the device in order to decide.

Display

This year, LG goes more short-hands friendly, bringing the LG G5 with a 5.3 inch QHD screen. However, the main feature of this panel is the always on feature, LG makes a small part of the display light up forever, also promising significantly optimal usage of battery. LG promises 0.8% battery usage per hour (at max) from the always on display, quite impressive!

It’s quite evident now that Lg has been mirroring it’s equivalent, Samsung. Coming in directly with Android Marshmallow, the LG G5 is good to eye, being less colourful and even more closer to stock. But, here’s something so different about the LG G5, the LG UI on this phone doesn’t sport an app drawer, if you like to have all the icons over your home screen, you’ll be happy with this change. But on the off chance, you aren’t satisfied, get a third party launcher!

Oh yeah, something that always happens, LG also reduced the amount of bloatware that comes along with the phone.

Pricing, release date

The pricing and the availability of the phone goes as follows:

Nope, there’s no data as LG plans to maintain secrecy on the pricing of the phone. What we believe is that the phone will be priced at $600-700 price range, which seems quite justified looking at the build quality and the bump up from the previous LG G4.

Talking specs, here’s the list that’ll impress you to the fullest!
