Xioami recently launched two new smartphones under its Redmi family – Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A. Both the smartphones are entry-level budget devices which comes with MediaTek processor sporting a FullVision display with the aspect ratio of 18:9. Apart from the Redmi series, the Chinese brand has also refreshed its flagship series with the launch of Mi 8 trio.

After launching budget smartphones, the brand is working on a higher variant of Redmi 6 to be known as Redmi 6 Pro. That’s not the only smartphone Xiaomi is bringing. We’re also expecting the launch of Mi Max 3 and Mi Pad 4 soon.

Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 receives certifications in China

A Xiaomi device carrying a model number M1806D9W recently received two certifications in China. This device is widely speculated as the upcoming generation of Mi Pad.  According to the reports by 91 Mobile, Mi Pad 4 got the certification from China Compulsory Certification (3C) body in China, and by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (CMIIT).

The listing revealed doesn’t reveal much about the specifications but we do know that M1806D9W is a tablet with a support of 5V/2A charging. The rumoured specifications indicate that Mi Pad 4 will come with a 13-MP rear camera and a 5-MP front camera. It is believed to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor clocked at 2.0 GHz.

Speaking of display, we might see an LCD screen having an aspect ratio of 18:9. Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 will house a 6,000 mAh battery capacity which is lower as compared to 6,600 mAh in the previous gen of Mi Pad.  Just like the Mi Pad 3, we will see only WiFi variant tablet but sporting dual-band WiFi.

Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro, Mi Max 3 and Mi Pad 4 confirmed by official website’s code

Apart from the above certifications, the existence of  Mi Pad 4 is confirmed by the brand’s very own official website along with the Redmi 6 Pro and Mi Max 3.

A month ago, a mysterious Xiaomi smartphone appeared on TENAA listing having a notched display and thick side bezels. Clearly, this budget device now seems to be Redmi 6 Pro. Coming to the specs, Redmi 6 Pro will come with a 5.84-inch full HD+ display having an aspect ratio of 19:9. It might be powered by a MediaTek Helio P60 processor with 8 cores clocked at 2.0 GHz. The smartphone will arrive in two variants – 2GB/16GB and 3GB/32GB storage options. For cameras, you can expect a dual cam setup at the back – 12MP + 5MP sensors. All of this is going to be powered by a large 4,000 mAh battery.

Now the interesting thing is that the Xiaomi’s official website code also gave a reference to Mi Max 3 and Mi Pad 4. Last month the brand itself confirmed the launch of Mi Max 3 somewhere in the month of July. Considering previous rumours, Xiaomi Mi Max 3 will have a massive 6.99-inch display with an aspect ratio of 18:9 so no notch on this one. It will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 coupled with up to 6GB of RAM and a huge 5,500 mAh battery.

It is worth noting that some other rumours also suggest that the Mi Max 3 would have an IRIS scanner as well as Wireless charging. Now, this is not likely going to happen considering the fact that Max series consists of budget phablets.

Speaking of availability, all the three upcoming devices will be launch in China first before coming to India. Looking at the unsuccessful experience of Xiaomi tablets in India, Mi Pad 4 might not see a launch in India at all. Well, there is no official update on any of these three devices so we can only speculate things right now.

Whatever will be the case, we’ll not forget to keep you guys updated so stay connected with us for the further development in the story.
