2 Years back Google made a glass to use together with your phone, with a little projector on one side with a bit of glass they projected the image in front of your eyes. On one side you had a little swipe bar to go through your notifications. The first Google Glass wasn’t really made for the normal consumers and at the price level of $1500 dollar it is not a device you just buy. As the Google Glass came into his second year it was used by more companies and software was more usable. Even at Schiphol Airport in the Netherlands they are using the Google Glass, they are seeing it as a total innovation and really useful.

This year in January, Google stopped the delivery of the Google Glass and the whole program around it, with the end of Google Glass the whole tech world was waiting for an answer what is going to happen. Despite the rumors of a total shutdown of the Google Glass project, the head of the project Eric Schmidt says it is a long-term project, and that the project was put under Tony Fadell’s oversight to make it really usable as a normal device where you want to walk around with like a normal glass.

“it is a big and very fundamental platform for google. we ended the explorer program and the press conflated this into us canceling the whole project, which isn’t true. google is about taking risks and there’s nothing about adjusting glass that suggests we’re ending it.”we’re ending it.”

That’s like saying the self-driving car is a disappointment because it’s not driving me around now. These things take time.”

The first Google Glass was formed in Google’s X-Lab, a few reports suggest that Tony Fadell want to make the Glass totally consumer ready. So if that is true there won’t be a Google Glass Explorer program anymore. A few reports also suggest that in this year’s Google Glass there will be an Intel processor instead of the Texas Instruments in the 1st gen Google Glass, it also states that the battery life will be much better than the last generation.
