HTC is all set to join the bandwagon of smartphones with thin bezels with their upcoming HTC U11+. Evan Blass, the popular tipster, has provided us with the specifications that the phone will come with. Considering his credibility with such information, these HTC U11+ specifications should be the final ones.

The phone made an appearance on TENAA a while back to reveal its design along with other details. What we got to know from the image is that the HTC U11+ will be the first HTC-branded phone to sport an 18:9 display. Because of the thinner bezels, the only place left for the fingerprint scanner is the back of the phone. The scanner sits right below the single camera unit over at the back.

Blass yesterday tweeted to reveal a few more details of the phone that is due to be announced very soon. The display used by HTC would be an LCD panel of 6 inches in 18:9 aspect ratio that will offer a WQHD+ resolution similar to other flagships launched this year. Edge Sense will also be making its way to the U11+ after being implemented on the two new Pixels and the HTC U11.

As you’d expect, the phone will come powered by Snapdragon 835 processor and will offer two storage and RAM variants. One will have 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage while the other one will have 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. They can be further expanded via a microSD card.

A 12MP camera unit will sit on the back with a f/1.7 aperture along with dual-LED flash. The selfie camera according to Blass will be an 8MP sensor. The HTC U11+ will sport BoomSound speakers along with an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. The battery capacity of the phone would be 3930mAh and it will support Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0.

While there is nothing mentioned here about the OS the phone will come running, we expect it to be Android 8.0 Oreo. HTC will also be launching the U11 Life Android One smartphone along with the U11+ on November 2nd. The U11 Life is a mid-range smartphone that’ll come powered by a Snapdragon 630 processor and will run Android Oreo out-of-the-box as part of the Android One program.

It has been leaked to sport a 5.2-inch Full HD display in the 16:9 aspect ratio along with 3GB of RAM and an internal storage of 32GB. The company might also launch a variant of the phone with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. It would take another week for the company to reveal both the smartphones and we shall wait until then to get more details.
