The phone has a 5.2-inch HD panel that is covered with 2.5D glass, while the fingerprint scanner sits on the back. It is made out of metal that should make the device feel solid. The InFocus Turbo 5 is powered by a quad-core MediaTek Mt6737 processor and has two variants with different RAM and internal storage capacities. Its base variant sports 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage and the other variant comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. A 13MP camera unit is there on the back, while the front selfie camera is of 5MP; the quality of the two will be known when we do an in-depth review of the device. The phone supports Wi-Fi, 4G LTE along with VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.2, FM-Radio, and has a 3.5mm audio jack too.
The highlight of the phone is definitely its 5000 mAh battery, which the company claims to offer 34 days of standby time, 23 hours of talk time, and 50 hours of music playback. You can also use the phone as a power bank to charge other devices, thanks to its massive battery capacity. Despite coming with a battery of this size, the Turbo 5 is just 9mm thick and weighs 164 grams. InFocus has partnered with Foxconn to produce the phone locally starting August. For now, Dixon and MCM will be manufacturing the phones for InFocus. The company has also pledged to invest $10 million in the Indian market towards expanding its operations and is targeting sales of 6 million units in 2017.
Going by the online-only sales model, the InFocus Turbo 5 will go on sale at Amazon starting July 4. Mocha Gold and Pure Gold are the two color options that the company offers. The 2GB RAM variant will cost Rs. 6,999 and the 3GB RAM variant will cost Rs. 7,999.
