Google Pixel 2 has paid a visit to FCC and the listing, as always, has revealed a few details that weren’t known earlier. The Pixel 2 is one of the most exciting smartphone launches left for this year and is expected to hit the market within a couple of months. According to the leaked information, the phone will feature an HTC U11 like squeeze feature.

A bunch of screenshots of the Settings menu of the Google Pixel 2 have leaked and the biggest feature that they reveal is the Android 8.0.1, which is quite obvious. With the latest Android version, the images also show the August 5 security patch already applied on to the phone, so we’re looking at a fairly recent listing.

The legal info section of the device mentions that the phone is made in Taiwan, which might mean that the second gen Pixel phone will again be made by HTC. Another thing that confirms this claim is the Language, input & gestures section that has “Active Edge on, squeeze for your Assistant” mentioned below. Squeezing the side of the phone to make the phone do stuff is a feature that we had seen on the HTC U11.

While the information mentioned says that the Assistant will be activated upon squeezing the phone, we can expect the feature to be customisable, like that on HTC U11. And by no chance, these screenshots are of any other non-Pixel HTC phone because the Android navigation buttons in these images are exclusive to Google Pixel phones.

The storage of the phone can be seen to be 50.66GB free with 21 percent in use. If you do the math, the internal memory turns out to be 64GB, which could possibly be the new base storage variant for the Pixel 2 devices. The last year’s Pixel phones had 32GB as base storage variant along with a variant with 128GB storage.

If you look closely at the images, then you’ll notice that the screenshot is in 16:9 aspect ratio and not in 18:9. This further confirms the recently leaked images of the Pixel 2 that showed a wide forehead and chin bezel on the phone. The bottom bezel hasn’t been left unused this time and the phone will now ship with stereo speakers, much like the Nexus 6P.
