LG has been launching a second flagship smartphone for the past couple of years under the V series. The LG V10 and the V20 were identified by their unique secondary screen and the V30 is now expected to be launched soon. According to a report, the launch will happen during the IFA 2017 event.

The report comes from a South Korean website ETNews and it notes that the smartphone launch would be the first for LG. IFA 2017 is scheduled for September 1 to September 6. The report further adds that the launch would happen a day before IFA opens and it would be followed by pre-order sales in South Korea, which is again a first for the V series.

The sales are supposed to run for about a week or two and will be carried out by three South Korean mobile network providers. There is no word on when the sales will begin in the rest of the markets, but the report mentions that the sales in South Korea will start in September itself.

According to the website, the phone will be priced around “later end of 800,000 KRW ($699.98)”. The LG V30 is expected in three storage variants – 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB. Many of the features in the phone will be taken from the previous V20 and the G6.

LG V30 is expected to come with a bezel-less OLED display like the LG G6 and will feature dual cameras on the back, like the V20. It will come powered by a Snapdragon 835, that the LG G6 couldn’t, and will also have the IP68 rating for being water and dust resistant.

The report further adds that the design of the phone will be nothing like we have previously seen in the V series. But the secondary screen on the front will be retained from the LG V10 and the V20.
