Just a few days ago, Reliance Jio has announced Happy New Year 2018 plans. The two plans announced, worth Rs. 199 and Rs. 299 offered 1.2GB data and 2GB data per day respectively with a validity of 28 days. However, Reliance Jio has revised its plans yet again. As per the latest update from Jio, the users will now be able to enjoy 1GB data and 1.5GB data per day respectively with the Rs. 149 plan and Rs. 198 plan, with a validity of 28 days. Here, the prices have been cut down, so the amount of consumable high-speed data per day as also been decreased by 200MB and 500 MB respectively.
For the long validity plans, some changes have been made and the prices have been slashed again by Rs. 50 for each. Now, the plan worth Rs. 349 is valid for 70 days, the Rs. 399 plan has a validity of 84 days, while the highest one among them, the Rs. 449 plan is now valid for 91 days. So, here, the validity remains same, but Reliance Jio will still be offering 1GB data per day for each of these three plans.
Also, the current Reliance Jio plans worth Rs. 399, Rs. 459, and Rs. 499 offering validity of 70 days, 84 days, and 91 days respectively have also been revised. Now, the plans are priced at Rs. 398, Rs. 448, and Rs. 498 respectively. Along with that, Reliance Jio is also providing 1.5GB high-speed data every day to the users that sums up to 105GB, 126GB and 136GB respectively, that has increased by 50% as compared to the current plans. However, these plans have the same validity as mentioned above.
These new Reliance Jio plans will be effective starting from Tuesday, 9th January 2018. This is surely a welcoming step from Jio that should benefit the consumers. Jio is now offering either extra high-speed data or offering longer validity. Last time, when Jio made the plans a bit costlier similar trends were observed from competitors like Airtel who also made their Rs. 399 plan a bit costlier and priced it at Rs. 448. So, now let’s see whether other telecom operators are also ready to slash the prices to compete with Jio or not.
