Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+may not be unveiled at CES 2018

We’ve been overwhelmed with the number of leaks and rumours received for the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+, it has to be the most awaited phone of this time. Although, it seems like we may not be able to get a glance of the Samsung’s much awaited and the next flagship device anytime soon.

Previously, Rumours indicated that the S9 and S9+ will be making an appearance at the CES in 2018. This year the tradition doesn’t change, reports from The Korean Herald says that it is unlikely for the Samsung flagships to be seen at the CES 2018 event, although the company may instead choose MWC 2018, which will be held in February or at their own event in March or April.

The Galaxy S9 was recently spotted on Geekbench where its specifications were leaked. Famous tipster Evan Blass had also tweeted about the Samsung Galaxy S9 being announced at the CES. The Galaxy S9 and S9+ are most likely to sport a 5.8-inch and 6.2-inch AMOLED displays respectively. As per the leaks, the S9+ will come with a 6GB RAM variant and the S9 may come with a 4GB RAM variant.

As far as storage is concerned, it is said to be having 64GB inbuilt storage and can be expanded with the help of a microSD card. It is said that the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ will be powered by the Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 845 processor which was launched earlier this week although, it’s global versions would be featuring the Exynos chips and it is most likely for the Exynos 9810 SoC which was unveiled recently.

Rumours state that S9 may retain the S8’s form factor with some minor changes and upgrades. There have been rumours going on about the in-display fingerprint scanner being spotted on the S9, a source clears out that it is unlikely for the S9 to have an in-display fingerprint scanner.

More news related to the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ are lined to come up in the following weeks but the official announcement may be coming in or after February 2018.
