We’re all pretty aware of what Moto is working on next. After the success of Moto Z2 Play, it’s time for the next generation Moto Z3 Play.  Android Headlines released an image of the device which seems to be the first official look of this upcoming smartphone.

If we believe the previous leaks or rumors, Moto Z3 Play is going to be the first smartphone to come with thin bezel screen in this series. This is now confirmed thanks to the recently leaked press renders which clearly shows the 18:9 front display. Apart from that, you’ll notice a dual camera setup at the back. This is again happening for the very first time in this series. Looking at the ongoing trends, it’s no surprise that Moto finally decided to integrate dual cams in their Z series.

Fingerprint Sensor inside the power button?

Moto Z3 Play

One thing which you might have observed after looking at this renders is no fingerprint sensor. In the earlier generations of Moto Z, you’ll find a fingerprint sensor on the front panel. Since the brand is now going with the FullVision display, the sensor should be at the back. But, that’s not the case though.

There is a high chance that Moto is going to put the fingerprint sensor inside the power button. Previously, a Moto Z3 Play case was leaked which shows the large cutout for the power button. This leak also adds up to our guess. For some, this fingerprint sensor position might not be the best. But I guess one will get used to it pretty easily.

What we know about the Moto Z3 Play so far?

First of all, Moto Z3 play will also support Moto Mods just like any other device in this family. The leaked renders show the glass back which is again expected since it is becoming more and more common.

If we believe some of the leaks then Moto Z3 Play is going to arrive with a 6-inch Full HD+ display having (2,160 x 1,080) resolution. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chipset, 4GB of RAM/32GB of internal storage or 6GB/64GB variant. It will run on the latest Android Oreo with 3,000 mAh battery capacity.

Reports peg a 12MP and 8MP rear camera combination which makes it suitable for portrait mode. Moto Z series will get a FullVision display and dual cam for the very first time. That’s not it. The brand is also scrapping headphone jack from the next-gen Moto Z3 Play. These alleged renders don’t confirm it but we can’t ignore the previous leaks just yet.

This is all we know about the Moto Z3 Play so fat. Since the device launch in coming closer, expect more leaks and information on it. Almost all the previous leaks stand to hold true for now.
