Nokia is working on yet another mid-budget smartphone which is going to be called Nokia 5.1 Plus.  As the name suggests, this is the higher end variant to the recently launched Nokia 5.1. Although the HMD Global hasn’t revealed anything about this device, we do have some render images to show you.

Looking at the ongoing trend of notch displays, it seems like Nokia finally decided to bring it to their devices. Now it is a good news or bad that’s for you to decide. If you look at the leaked renders closely, you’ll notice that device comes with thin bezels and includes a wide notch on the top.

The design of the phone is expected to look similar to the previously launched Nokia X6. Speaking of Nokia X6 it is one of the most successful smartphones by the brand. Nokia X6 was sold in just 10 seconds on its first sale that was held by various e-commerce websites.

Coming back to the Nokia 5.1 Plus, if reports are to be believed the smartphone might come with a dual camera setup along with LED flash and a fingerprint sensor at the back.  It also seems to have a USB type-c port at the bottom of the phone. The notch of the device houses a single camera, proximity sensor, and a light sensor.

As far as specifications are concerned, word on the street is that Nokia 5.1 will come with a Mediatek Helio P23 chipset. Since this is a mid-range device, the brand might go with the MediaTek chipsets. The smartphone will arrive in two variants – 2GB of RAM with 16GB of onboard storage and 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage.

The previous version of the phone has been launched a few weeks ago so the launch of this high-end variant is not expected anytime soon though nothing can be said with certainty. In related news, HMD Global hasn’t announced any launch of Nokia X6 in the global market so far, though a poll on Twitter has been created to assess the launch of Nokia X series model in the global market.
