The widely rumored OnePlus 5 receives yet another official teaser, and this time around, it confirms the imminent flagship smartphone from OnePlus. Laying parallel alongside the previous confirmation from TheVerge, this teaser validates the official name of the phone and the official announcement timeframe.
If you have been living under a stone, Chinese brands tend to hop over the number ‘4’ due to their tetraphobia. Today, an official teaser from OnePlus confirms that their next flagship will indeed be termed as OnePlus 5. This can be derived from the teaser that reads “Hello 5”. Apart from that, the OnePlus 5 teaser also unveils the release timeframe of the device – “Hey Summer. Give me five!” which confirms the release timeframe of the device, and that is this Summer.
The teaser is deserted of any specifications or details about the OnePlus 5, however, we have cues from previous leaks suggesting that the next OnePlus flagship will feature a Qualcomm SnapDragron 835, along with a 6GB or an 8GB RAM. Additionally, the phone is also said to feature a large 23-megapixel camera or dual cameras for the primary/rear camera setup. On the front-facing side, the phone is supposed to retain the 16-megapixel sensor.
