We weren’t completely done with the OnePlus 5 when the OnePlus 5T came out last month. Now that we’re inching towards 2018, we have started to receive some details of the next OnePlus flagship. While everyone has a general idea of how the OnePlus 6 would be like, this report suggests some fascinating details about the phone.

GizmoChina reported that the OnePlus 6 would be coming out as early as March 2018. Moreover, the phone would sport an in-display fingerprint scanner, that could be successfully made quite recently. The publication mentioned that its source for this piece of information had turned out to be true about OnePlus flagships in the past too.

The only reason that the fingerprint sensor was moved to back on the OnePlus 5T was its tall display. It left no room for the fingerprint scanner to be placed on the bottom bezel. Phones like Pixel 2 also have them on the back but not everyone prefers that position. The in-display fingerprint scanner should be a perfect solution for addressing both the problems.

Another thing that the report reveals is the processor OnePlus 6 would come with. While trying to look a little surprised, let me tell you that the processor would be the Snapdragon 845. OnePlus has set a trend of bringing their flagship devices with the best of the hardware in the industry. The choice of Snapdragon 845 for the next OnePlus flagship is a no-brainer, at least now.

What’s interesting here is the launch schedule. OnePlus has been launching two flagships each year for the past two years now. One of them comes out in the mid of the year while the other one is announced towards the end, like the OnePlus 5T. This report suggests that the OnePlus 6 would be out by March itself.

This time is a bit too early to believe any of the pieces of information provided here. The OnePlus 5T has been out for just about a month and for now, it is the only OnePlus flagship you can buy. We will definitely give you an update in case OnePlus spills some beans over its upcoming flagship.
