The long awaited and much rumored Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro is now officially announced by Samsung via their Chinese website. The website shows a bunch of photos of the smartphone along with its specifications.

According to the site, Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro features a 5.7 inch Super AMOLED screen with 1080×1920 resolution. The device is powered by octa-core 2.2GHz Snapdragon 625 processor, along with Adreno 506 GPU. It sports a massive 4GB RAM and comes with two storage options – 32GB or 64GB, which can be expanded up to 256GB via a microSD card.

Talking about the camera department, the Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro sports a 16MP camera with a f/1.9 aperture on the front and back. The cameras are capable of shooting full HD videos at 30 frames per second.

The Galaxy C7 Pro measures 156.5×77.2×7.0 mm and weighs 172 grams. On a reference note, the Galaxy C7 Pro is 0.2 mm thicker and 3 grams heavier than the older Galaxy C7. The smartphone is backed by a 3,300 mAh battery, and runs Android v6.0.1 Marshmallow OS out of the box.

The Galaxy C7 Pro has Samsung’s Always-On display and supports Samsung Pay. For those unaware of the Always-On display, it is a new feature found on Samsung smartphones like Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Edge and the late Galaxy Note 7 that allows users to check time, date, keep track of missed calls and message alerts, even when the phone is not in use and just on stand-by. The smartphone will be available in Rose Pink, Arctic Blue, and Maple Leaf color variants when it hits the market.

Unfortunately, there is no information regarding the global availability of the smartphone or its price. However, the handset will go on pre-orders in China, starting from January 16th. According to a close source, it is expected to carry a price tag of approximately $199 ( Rs. 13,600 ).
