Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime launched with Samsung Pay Mini, Samsung Mall

Samsung has launched yet another mid-range smartphone in India, called the Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime. One of the highlights of the phone is the support for Samsung Pay Mini support. Apart from this, the phone comes with a visual search feature called Samsung Mall. In terms of specifications, the Galaxy On7 Prime sports a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080 x 1920 pixels) PLS TFT LCD display. The phone is powered by an octa-core Exynos 7870 SoC clocked at 1.6GHz, coupled with 3GB or 4GB of RAM.

In terms of camera, the Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime comes with a 13-megapixel CMOS rear sensor with f/1.9 aperture and autofocus. On the front, there is the same sensor as placed on the back, but the front-facing camera doesn’t come with autofocus feature. For the storage, the Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime comes with 32GB or 64GB internal storage, which can be expanded up to 256GB using a microSD card.

Connectivity options on the Galaxy On7 Prime include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It packs a 3300mAh battery.

The Galaxy On7 Prime runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat out-of-the-box with Samsung Experience 8.5 on top. Samsung has also added the Samsung Mall feature as we mentioned above. The Samsung Mall lets users take a photo of any product in real life or select a photo of a product from the gallery. Samsung Mall then identifies the product and helps the user find it on multiple online shopping sites. Samsung Mall comes with a ‘Universal Cart’ feature that lets users add products to cart from multiple shopping sites.

In terms of pricing, the Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime starts at Rs. 12,990 for the 3GB RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage variant, while the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant is priced at Rs. 14,990. The phone will be available in Gold and Black colour variants and will be sold exclusively on Amazon India and the Samsung Shop.

Sale starts from January 20 and launch offers include Rs. 2,000 cashback for JioMoney users, if they opt for the Rs. 299 plan for 24 months. In this case, the first Rs. 800 cashback will be provided after a period of 12 months and the rest cashback worth Rs. 1,200 will be provided after the next 12 months.
