Samsung’s now getting into this trend of manufacturing custom devices in collaboration with different companies. Well, it seems Samsung has seen a specific accomplishment, here’s their second one for 2016: another custom version of the Galaxy S7 Edge, the Olympics edition.

Not every athlete at Olympics takes home an award or a medal, even after giving in all that’s possible, they neglect to satisfy their dream, ultimately led to attempt once again after a long period of time and push themselves much harder. But Samsung wants them to feel a little positive; that their efforts were not simply a waste of resources and time, but were actually worthwhile. Yes Samsung, at least better than than having a few disappointed champions, giving up on their dreams. It’s definitely more than just business, I see.

Just a while back, Samsung hit the market hard with the Batman edition Galaxy S7 Edge, coming in with a special Batman theme, black and gold, and a fully-loaded kit including a custom VR headset.  However, this time, there is no VR headset with the Olympics version. But what’s interesting is that the phone looks really gorgeous with added colours of the Olympics theme. Take a look:

For the internals, it’s still the old and gold phone. This time it comes unlocked, bringing along a SnapDragon 820 chipset, 4GB of RAM, 12MP main camera, 32GB inbuilt storage along with MicroSD card expansion and a flawless fingerprint reader. Don’t forget, it’s waterproof as well.

For us consumers, it’s said to hit the market in the US from August onwards on BestBuy and there’s no other word for now. there’s no word about it being launched in other countries either. Of course coming in as a special edition phone, with free swag (like the awesome carrying case), it’ll surely not be same as the regular priced S7 Edge, there could be a slight variation. Let’s wait and see though.

We’re quite excited for the phone, what do you guys think of it? Let us know your thoughts below in comments section.
