The Chinese Smartphone manufacturer, Xiaomi seems all set to launch its next bezel-less flagship right after unveiling the Redmi 5 in the Indian market. The Mi MIX 2S has leaked a number of times where it resembled its predecessor in terms of design and other aspects. Xiaomi revealed some official posters of the device to introduce its new brand ambassador Wu Yifan who can be seen holding the device. Taking a closer look at the device, a bezel-less design is clearly visible, which is similar to its predecessor.

Xiaomi will be hosting the launch event for the Mi MIX 2S on March 27 in Shanghai. According to the leaked images, the handset won’t be rocking the iPhone X-like notch, which it was rumoured to have. The official images of the device show us that the device is not much different from the Mi MIX 2. However, one change that can be noticed pretty easily has to be the missing selfie camera on the top, which was also rumoured to be placed in the corner inside a small cut out. The chin bezel still remains intact but seems to be a little smaller than its predecessor.

According to the leaks, the Mi MIX 2S will sport a 5.99-inch display with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels with an 18:9 aspect ratio, which Xiaomi seems to call this design “full screen 3.0 display”. Along with the leaked posters, we were able to get a look at the packaging stickers, which claim that the Mi MIX 2S will come in an 8GB RAM + 256GB internal storage variant. The device will also be powered by Snapdragon 845 SoC that has already been confirmed by Xiaomi. It is also expected to feature wireless charging with the inclusion of a glass back. The front camera might have been retained in the bottom bezel, a placement that has received much criticism. The Mi MIX 2S will be launched globally with support for up to 43 LTE brands with 6 network modes.

The poster images do not reveal the rear side of the device, however, earlier leaks have shown us that the device may go with the iPhone X-like vertical dual-camera setup. The cameras are expected to include 12-megapixel Sony sensors with AI features inbuilt. The fingerprint scanner cannot be found on the front which brings us back to believing Xiaomi will place it on the back. The MIX 2S is expected to pack a 4,400mAh Li-ion battery which will support fast charging. The device will run on Android 8.1 Oreo-based on MIUI skin out of the box.
