The Tecno Camon i features a 5.65-inch 720p HD+ FullView display with 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass 3  protection. The phone is powered by MediaTek MT6737 quad-core 64-bit processor, clocked at 1.3GHz with Mali-T720 GPU, coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal memory, which is expandable up to 128GB using a microSD card.

One more interesting thing about the microSD card expansion is that a user can use two SIM cards and a microSD card at the same time as the phone comes with a dedicated microSD card slot instead of a hybrid slot, against the current trend set by many manufacturers.

As the brand claimed the phone to be camera-centric, they seem to be citing camera as the USP of the device. The Tecno Camon i sports a 13MP rear camera with quad-LED Flash, f/2.0 aperture, 5P lens and on the front, there is a 13MP facing camera with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture with 80-degree field of view. The phone runs Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box with company’s own HiOS skin on top.
