After a long run of leaks and rumours of the Samsung Galaxy J7 Duo, the South Korean giant has finally announced the device in India. The company launched the device in India at a price of Rs. 16,990, and it will be available for sale starting today, April 12.
This is Samsung’s first ever budget device to sport a rear-placed dual-camera setup and a selfie flash, both at the same time. The Samsung Galaxy J7 Duo runs on Android 8.0 Oreo straight out of the box with the App Pair feature on the device which lets the users create a shortcut to open a pair of predefined apps in the split screen mode. Surprisingly, the mid-range device also supports face unlock feature, which allows the users to unlock their device by just looking at it.
The Galaxy J7 Duo sports a 13MP + 5MP cameras at the rear, with an 8MP front sensor. The two rear cameras come with f/1.9 aperture and support LED flash along with features like Live Focus, Selfie focus and Beauty mode. Both the sensors are capable of recording full-HD video at 30 frames-per-second. The device includes a 5.5 inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) Super AMOLED display and comes powered by the Exynos 7 series octa-core processor which is clocked at 1.6GHz. It comes with 32GB of internal storage coupled with 4GB of RAM.

Bixby has been included in the budget device but with limited capabilities, including the lack of Bixby Voice. The device will come with a removable back panel and will sport a physical home button which can also act as a fingerprint sensor. The J7 Duo runs on a decent 3000mAh battery with support for 4G VoLTE, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, and GPS as connectivity options. It is a dual-SIM device and weighs at around 174 grams.
