Razer, one of the giant gaming hardware company, introduced its first-ever gaming smartphone back in November last year. It was one of the first phones to come with 120Hz display and flagship level specifications. The device did receive a positive response and immense success from the critics as well as users. It seems like the brand is working on the successor of Razer Phone.

At the trade show, the Global Vice President of Razor, Chen Xiaoping, tipped an expected launch timeline for their next-gen gaming smartphone. According to him, Razer Phone 2 is going to make its way to the Chinese market by the end of this year. On top of that, he revealed that the upcoming Razer smartphone is going to feature Qualcomm’s chipset which will deliver better performance as compared to its predecessor.
The first generation Razer phone comes with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 chipset meaning the Snapdragon 845 might be in the upcoming device. Although, we’re speculating the upcoming 7nm Snapdragon 855 chipset. Since the Razer Phone 2 is going to be available at the end of the year, it might feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 which is expected to launch by then.
To recall, Razon Phone comes with a 5.7-inch QHD IGZO LCD display with 120 Hz refresh rate. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset coupled with 8GB of RAM. There is a 4,000 mAh battery packed inside which supports Quick Charge 4+. It does run on Android Nougat but the Oreo updated is expected to kick in Q1 2018.
