It is seemingly becoming difficult to differentiate between a fake leak and a real one before a smartphone could launch officially. Now that we are barely a few hours away from OnePlus 6T official launch today in New York, here’s a peek at what we could assume is the official poster for OnePlus 6T showing the phone at three different angles i.e. the front, the back, and side.
We already know plenty of specifications that we would see in OnePlus 6T because there have been continuous rumors and leaks about it for a few months now. In fact, it would be a task for Chinese OEM OnePlus to surprise the media and tech enthusiasts with anything new that we will see on OnePlus 6T that hasn’t already been discussed on the internet. Call it the in-display fingerprint scanner or the larger 6.4-inch display with a subtle teardrop shaped notch, we know everything.
So before the smartphone could officially launch, here’s a poster for OnePlus 6T that confirms few details again. The image shows that there are at least two color variants i.e. midnight black and mirror black but we hope that OnePlus 6T is available in silk white as well. Further, it teases the similar rear dual-camera setup with flash but there’s no fingerprint sensor at the back this time. Instead, OnePlus has perfected the in-display fingerprint scanning technology with OnePlus 6T so that’s something new that we will see with the device.
Also, it will be powered by Snapdragon 845 octa-core SoC while the successor OnePlus 7 which could launch next year in March will undoubtedly have a Snapdragon 855 SoC and 5G integration using Qualcomm’ X50 QTM052 5G modem. OnePlus 6T will be the first smartphone from OnePlus that will be launch in retail stores worldwide and the first one to launch with carriers such as Verizon and T-Mobile where it recently accomplished the clearance for the former carrier in the United States. This will surely give it an upper hand for Chinese OEMs in the United States.
The event will be live at 11 a.m. EDT today from New York while the Indian launch event will be held on October 30 at 8.30 p.m. in New Delhi.
