On May 14, OnePlus unleashed two smartphones i.e. OnePlus 7 and the magnanimous flagship OnePlus 7 Pro thereby entering a premium flagship smartphone category. This is when Xiaomi congratulated for the launch while posting a subtle caution about its upcoming flagship smartphone Redmi K20 with Snapdragon 855. However, today, Xiaomi’s General Manager Lu Weibing posted a screenshot on Weibo, a Chinese social networking site, stating AnTuTu scores of upcoming ‘Demon King’ and it is unbelievable.
Xiaomi’s upcoming Redmi K20 smartphone with the latest 7nm Snapdragon 855 octa-core SoC under the nickname ‘Demon King’ scored a whopping 458,754 points on AnTuTu according to the screenshot. To put things into perspective, Xiaomi Mi 9 is currently the industry leader with the highest score of 371,423 points while event Samsung Galaxy S10 is lagging behind at the second position while the top ten list is populated by Vivo iQOO Monster, Huawei Mate 20X, Huawei P30 Pro, Honor V20, Samsung Galaxy S10 9820, and others excluding the brilliant ‘gaming smartphones’ like Nubia Mars Red, Xiaomi Black Shark, and others.
Per GSMArena, Redmi K20 is probably featuring the latest UFS 3.0 storage system along with superior cooling technology similar to OnePlus 7 Pro’s 10-element liquid cooling system which has probably helped the device to score such a massive mark on AnTuTu that gives a gap of almost 90,000 between the two smartphones.
Xiaomi Redmi K20 is incoming although we don’t know much about it and neither it’s the launch date. But we do know that it will feature the latest Snapdragon 855 chipset paired along with 6.39-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with built-in FPS and Corning Gorilla Glass 6 and probably with a 20MP front selfie camera infused in a pop-up mechanism thanks to a number of leaks suggesting the viability. Next up, we have smaller bezels at the top and bottom which is another USP along with the triple camera array populated with Sony IMX586 48MP primary sensor bundled with 16MP telephoto and 8MP ultra-wide lens. Finally, the device will sport a massive 4,000 mAh with a 27W fast charging support which is slightly less than OnePlus 7 Pro’s 30W Warp Charge while the battery falls short of 1,000 mAh when compared to Asus Zenfone 6 slated to launch on May 16.
Anyways, there’s a lot to catch up with Redmi K20 flagship smartphone that will mark the first Redmi phone to sport the latest Snapdragon 855 chipset. There are rumors that it will act as a successor to Xiaomi POCOPHONE F1 that was launched last year as the cheapest smartphone to get SDM845 so we could hope the upcoming smartphone to feature somewhat the same strategy. Meanwhile, you can stay hooked on True-Tech to know more about it such as the latest congratulatory diss that Xiaomi did after OnePlus 7 Pro launch.
