Huawei Y9s launched in India with Pop-up Camera, Kirin 710F, and 4000 mAh Battery

As we all know, Huawei is on the rage of releasing its smartphones around the globe. Last week itself the company has listed its Huawei Y8s in Jordan (a country in the Middle East) and now, Huawei has announced the launch of its premium-midrange smartphone, Huawei Y9s, in India. Huawei Y9s will exclusively be available on Amazon India from May 19.

Huawei Y9s comes with an Ultra FullView display which provides the users richer and brighter color schemes. The device is almost bezeless and comes with a screen to body ratio of  is 91%  with a thinner chin. Huawei also claims that this display comes with TUV Rheinland certified eye comfort mode for a comfortable viewing experience. The design of this device is quite similar to what we have seen with the previous devices from the company.

The Huawei Y9s comes with a glass sandwich design with the 3D Arc designed middle frames which creates a natural and seamless transition from the back to front. This also results in a comfortable grip while holding. The fingerprint sensor on this device is side-mounted embedded in the power key. Huawei Y9s comes with an ultra-clear 48 MP camera which can capture stunning shots. This 48 MP sensor is accompanied by an ultra-wide-angle sensor and a depth-sensing unit as well.

The device comes with an improved Kirin 710F octa-core SoC which according to Huawei, can provide powerful on-the-go gaming and an enhanced live stream viewing experience. The device will be made available with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage along with UFS2.1 technology. Huawei also quoted that UFS 2.1 storage tech and Huawei’s Advanced Extendable Read-Only file system (EROFS) technology can result in deep optimization at the software level. This technology effectively boosts random read speed and saves more storage space.

Huawei Y9s comes with a 6.59-inch LTPS IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. The display here is almost bezeless with thinner chin and comes with 91% screen to body ratio. The aspect ratio of this display is 19.5:9 and comes with a pixel density of 391 PPI. As mentioned earlier, the device comes with a glass sandwich 3D Arc design and is made available in two colors.

Underneath the hood, the device is powered by HiSilicon Kirin 710F SoC. The Kirin 710F is an ARM-based midrange octa-core SoC that contains eight-processor cores out of which four are Cortex A73 cores clocked up to 2.2 GHz each and four Cortex A53 clocked up to 1.7 GHz and is built in 12nm manufacturing process. Mali-G51 MP4 handles the graphic duties here. The device comes with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of UFS 2.1 storage coupled with EROFS technology which helps in overall optimization.

As for the optics, the Huawei Y9s come with the triple rear camera setup. The primary unit is a 48 MP sensor with F/1.8 aperture with AI algorithm support which helps to get the best possible shot with sharp details. The second unit is an 8 MP ultra-wide angle sensor with a 120-degree field of view and comes with an F/2.4 aperture. The tertiary is a 2 MP depth-sensing unit. The front-facing is a pop-up selfie camera unit which is a 16 MP unit with F/2. aperture.

The Huawei Y9s runs Android 9 Pie with EMUI 9.1 skin on top. EMUI is a feature-rich interface that provides a simple interactive design and intelligent functions for easy use. The side-mounted fingerprint sensor, Micro USB port, and 3.5mm headphone jack take an account here. All this is powered by a 4000 mAh battery. The device comes packed with a standard 10W charging adapter as well. Huawei Y9s will exclusively be available on Amazon India starting May 19.
