After much teasing, JioPhone Next is finally here. Developed by Reliance Jio and Google, the JioPhone Next was first teased back in June only to get officially released earlier on Friday. You can get your JioPhone Next for as low as Rs 1,999/-. There are four plans spread across two EMI options i.e. 18 months and 24 months. The Always-on Plan starts at Rs 350/mo for 18 months or gets Rs 300/mo for 24 months and you get 5GB data per month and 100 min/month.
Proceeding, the Large Plan gives you 1.5GB/day plus unlimited voice calls starting at Rs 500/mo for 18 months while the 24-months financing options are available at Rs 450/mo. The XL Plan gives you 2GB/day plus unlimited calls for Rs 550/mo for 18-months and just Rs 500/mo for the 24-months plan. Finally, the XXL Plan gives you 2.5GB/day plus unlimited calls for Rs 600/mo for the 18-months plan and Rs 550/mo for the 24-months plan.
There’s a one-time processing fee of Rs 501 on financing JioPhone Next with any of the above mentioned plans and EMI options. For instance, you are paying Rs 15,700/- for the 24-months XXL plan [Rs 1999 (Next) + 501 (Processing fee) + 550×24 (EMI)]
Reliance JioPhone Next Specifications
Reliance JioPhone Next packs in a 5.45-inch LCD HD+ panel with *0Hz refresh rate and a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on top of it. There’s no anti-fingerprint coating on to. There’s a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 215 SoC under the hood clocked at up to 1.3GHz. The device has 32GB storage and 2GB of LPDDR3 RAM and there’s a microSD card slot on top with up to 512GB support. There’s a 13MP rear and an 8MP front selfie camera setup. The device gets a 3500 mAh battery with a microUSB port for charging and data sharing purposes.
The device has a Dual SIM support with SIM 1 locked with Jio (of course) with dual antenna, LTE Cat4 speed, and supports various 4G and 2G bands. Other connectivity featues includings Bluetooth v4.1, Wi-Fi n, a 3.5mm headphone jack, with several sensors.
