Oppo’s Pad has made quite a few headlines over the past couple of months. Cut to now, an alleged spy shot of what is assumed as the Oppo Pad has been spotted. According to the specifications by Digital Chat Station, the device is likely to feature an 11-inch FHD+ display boasting a 120Hz refresh rate.
The device is likely to have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC under the hood. This is a high-end chipset which foreshadows that the device is likely arriving with an AMOLED panel as seen on Xiaomi Mi Pad devices. However, some reports suggest it could be an LCD panel with a 120Hz refresh rate on top of it.
Going further, the upcoming tablet is likely to have a dual rear camera setup with a 13MP primary and 8MP secondary camera populating the rear assembly. The front camera is of unknown megapixels so let’s just say that it exists.
Moving on, a rumors specs sheet suggests that the tablet will have 256GB of storage, 6GB of RAM, and Android 11-powered ColorOS 12 out-of-the-box. The Oppo Pad is expected to get an 8,080 mAh battery although other reports estimate it to be around 6,000 to 7,000 mAh.
We recently got a first look at the unannounced Oppo tablet as seen in the leaked photo although it is obstructed under a shelf so we can’t make most of it.
According to the rumored Oppo Pad pricing, the slate will commence at CNY 2,000 or $313 in China although this is likely for the entry-level variant and there will be other variants too.
Oppo Pad was earlier scheduled for launch in 2021 which didn’t materialize. It is now expected to arrive sometime in 2022 although the dates and all the specs are shrouded in mystery at the time of writing this.
