The Oppo Find N7 foldable phone is in the making, but wait, isn’t the Find N6 lined up for a February 2026 release, or is Oppo skipping the series altogether? Turns out Oppo wants to channel its foldable series into a dual launch this year, and thus, we will get N6 and N7 this year, with the latter being a direct competitor to the Apple iPhone Fold coming this year.
Oppo Find N7 is launching here, but what’s the buzz around it?
Oppo will announce the Oppo Find N6 in China this February, followed by its global launch in March. However, a trusted industry insider told SmartPrix that it’s not the only foldable device out there. The Chinese smartphone maker is working on a book-style foldable phone dubbed Oppo Find N7, slated to arrive in September 2026. The catch is, even with the same specs as the Find N6, the upcoming Find N7 will have a wider display on board, much like the yet-unreleased iPhone Fold, which is due for September 2026 as well.
This means apart from the regular specs taken from Find N6, the major distinction that Find N7 will have is its wide display and overall package. Perhaps this is to compete with the iPhone Fold, which happens to have a wide package as well, and it will be the debut for Apple in the foldable segment.
Oppo Find N7 shares specs with upcoming Find N6
Since the Find N6 will share its specifications with the N7, we can expect the latter to have these specs. First up, N6/N7 will have an 8.12” LTPO OLED 120Hz foldable panel, a 6.62” secondary cover display, and a 6,000mAh battery under the hood paired with 80W wired and 50W wireless tech.
The Find N7 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, the flagship chipset from late 2025. Plus, we have 16GB RAM on the go. Apart from that, the phone will have a 200MP plus 50MP ultrawide and a 50MP telephoto shooter at the back.
About the Oppo Find N7 release date, we are hoping the phone will be announced in September this year, going head-on with the rumored Apple iPhone Fold.
