  • Apple iPhone Ultra is said to offer heat dissipation using vapor cooling chamber.
  • This is a first for Apple's foldable phone as the tech last debuted with iPhone 18 Pro series.
  • Apple iPhone Ultra is rumored to debut in September, in-line with the earlier reports and standard launch schedule.

The Apple iPhone Ultra is tipped to get a vapor chamber cooling feature on board. This comes from a reputed tipster that Ultra will be the first foldable iPhone (from Apple) to feature the massive heat dissipation tech that was initially rolled out with the iPhone 17 Pro series. Here’s more on the same.

iPhone Ultra to get vapor chamber cooling for heat dissipation

According to tipster Fixed Focus Digital, who shared a post on Weibo, the iPhone Ultra is tipped to receive a vapor chamber cooling system. The tipster tagged the phone as having “quite impressive” tech for thermal performance that should allow the phone to remain cool as ice (just a metaphor, though).

This is also critical given the phone has a thin sub-4mm chassis when unfolded. Of course, Apple never accounts for the humongous camera bump, so we have what it calls the least thickness, possibly after Apple made several sacrifices, including no MagSafe support, no Face ID, or telephoto shooter, to name a few.

The Apple iPhone Ultra, as the foldable iPhone is being called as of now, will bring a liquid metal hinge. Of course, the Cupertino giant is up for some sorcery to get rid of creases on the foldable display, and we could see its major implementation on the iPhone Ultra, which appears to be in line for its debut in September.

For the unversed, Apple hasn’t confirmed the launches for the fall of 2026 yet. We are aware Apple is opting for a split launch strategy, which means iPhone 18 Pro devices will come this September, followed by non-Pro phones early next year. The iPhone Ultra will preferably arrive in September, as mentioned above, to bank on the momentum the iPhone 18 Pro launch makes in the market.
