After a gap of nearly six years, vivo is once again bringing back its style-focused S-series smartphones in India. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer has confirmed that the vivo S2 will launch in India on August 6, 2026.
The upcoming smartphone is expected to position itself in the premium mid-range segment by combining premium design and features. Although vivo has only confirmed the launch date as of now, recent leaks suggest that the device will go on sale from August 11, 2026. Interestingly, the company has revealed its online availability on Flipkart and vivo’s official store.
vivo S2 marks the return of the S-series
If you closely watch the poster below, you will notice the device’s display as a major highlight.
According to reports, the vivo S2 will reportedly boast a 1.5K 3D curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz screen refresh rate. If this turns out to be accurate, the device could perhaps deliver appealing picture quality, since the S-series is known for focusing on battery, display, and overall performance.
Another noticeable highlight of this smartphone is the color options. The smartphone will apparently be available in three color options: Regal Bronze, Sapphire Blue, and Silk White.

But now that we are down to its processor, battery and charging, camera, and software details, we have grabbed that information from reputable industry sources. According to reports, the vivo S2 is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7360 processor. The chipset is built on a 4nm process; thus, you can expect it to offer balanced performance and power efficiency.
RAM & storage
Since the S2 positions itself in the mid-premium category, it is rumored that the device’s base model would include at least 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
Battery and charging
Battery is something that’s often been considered in the S-series, and noting the same, the company is said to be working on a 7000mAh battery for the S2 model. Along with a massive battery, there’s an 80W wired fast charging support.
Camera setup
As we mentioned above, the camera department is among the highlights in the S-series. Thus, the vivo S2 is expected to feature a 50MP OIS primary lens and an 8MP ultra-wide rear camera, with a 32MP front camera.
Expected pricing in India
Obviously vivo has not revealed the pricing yet since the device is launching on August 6. However, considering the phone’s specifications and vivo’s pricing strategy, we estimate that the vivo S2 could be priced between ₹45,000 and ₹50,000.
