LG will be launching its ‘true 2017 flagship’ here in India next week. The usual V30 won’t be coming to India but LG V30+ would. It is a slightly enhanced variant of the original V30 while most of the things remain to be the same. LG has started sending out media invites for the December 13 event.LG V30+

For the most part, the LG V30+ is just like any other flagship smartphone released this year. There is a 6-inch QHD+ 18:9 OLED display with thin top and bottom bezels. The phone comes running Android 7.1.2 out of the box with LG UX 6.0+ on top of it. Android 8.0 Oreo update for the phone should be out in the coming weeks.

Snapdragon 835 processor powers this LG flagship, unlike 820 used in the LG G6. The RAM capacity of the phone is 4GB, while the internal storage is 128GB. The internal storage is what differentiates the Plus variant from the LG V30 that comes with 64GB of storage. The memory will be expandable up to 2TB via a hybrid SD card slot.

The dual cameras and the fingerprint scanner sit on the back. The primary sensor is of 16MP with an f/1.6 aperture along with OIS, PDAF, and dual-tone LED flash. 13MP unit sits as the secondary camera with a 120-degree wide-angle lens and f/1.9 aperture. There is a 5MP unit on the front. LG V30+ will carry a battery of 3300mAh itself and will support Quick Charge 3.0.

Where the LG V30+ stands out from the rest of the top crop is its audio output. The phone supports 32-bit Advanced Hi-Fi Quad DAC that should please the audiophiles. According to a report, the variant that will launch in India will lack Quad DAC to keep the price down. IP68 rated dust and water resistance comes standard with the phone. The phone is also MIL-STD 810G certified for better drop resistance.

For the international market, the LG V30+ was introduced in Korea for 998,800 Won which is about Rs. 58,900. A report last month suggested that the LG V30 would be coming to India and it would be priced at Rs. 47,990. The final pricing of the phone will only be known when the is finally announced for India next week.
