Vivo V9 is expected to launch in India on March 27 when it will succeed company’s existing mid-range smartphone Vivo V7 from last year. Right before it’s India launch in a couple of weeks, a few live images of the phone have been leaked by a Malaysian website. The phone borrows a couple of design elements from the iPhone X including the display notch and the rear cameras’ placement like many other smartphones.

The website Amanz.my got hold of these images that show the phone from all its sides. From the front, the alleged Vivo V9 has a design that is similar to pretty much every other phone that is being announced these days. There is a notch on the top housing the front camera and the earpiece while there is a bezel on the bottom, which perhaps was a little harder for the companies to get rid of while copying iPhone X’s design.

On the back, the two cameras’ orientation and placement are also inspired by the iPhone X with the cameras placed vertically in the top left corner. The capsule-shaped camera housing has an LED flash below it and there is a fingerprint scanner sitting in the centre. Some of the other photos of the Vivo V9 also suggest support for dual SIM cards and the fact that the phone will have a micro USB port and a headphone jack at the bottom.

None of the phone’s leaks has revealed its detailed specifications yet and we expect them to be available before the phone is officially announced. Vivo has already scheduled an event in India for March 27 where the company is expected to confirm the phone’s design and specifications.
