It is no wonder if I say the Galaxy Note 20 series is one of the most anticipated smartphone series in recent times. By this time, we pretty much everything about these devices as they were an active part of the rumor mill for more than a month now! The South-Korean tech giant is going to unveil the Galaxy Note 20 series alongside the Fold 2, Flip 5G, Galaxy Tab S7 series, and Galaxy Watch 3 during the Galaxy Unpacked 2020 event, which is going to take place online on August 5th. Now, a recent report from the South Korean media suggests that the Galaxy Note 20 series could be priced cheaper than the last year’s Note.

The report comes to us from Naver publication. The lower price is believed to be in response to the expected lower demand amid the Coronavirus Pandemic. According to Naver, the Galaxy Note 20 might launch at 1.2 million Korean won (approx $999 or 75,000 INR) which is slightly lower than the launch price of 1.25 million Korean won (roughly $1,040 or 78,000 INR). The report further adds that the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra will be priced at 1.45 million won which roughly translates to $1207 or 90,000 INR. Well, the price decrease of $40 or 3000 INR is not a very significant drop, but going by the huge price bumps of the recent flagship devices, it is still a welcome move.

Recently, the hands-on images of the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra come from a reliable Samsung leaker and YouTuber Jimmy is Promo, who has uploaded the images of the device from different angles. The color of the device here is black which does have that glossy finish, which is not the case with the previously leaked image of the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra in Mystic Bronze. Jimmy also added that the S Pen and the speaker will be found towards the left of the USB Type-C port. Now, this perfectly goes with the decision of placing the volume and power keys on the right side, considering that the Note 10 and Note 10+ had the power and volume keys on the left side of the device.

Galaxy Note 20 Ultra features a 6.9-inch WQHD+ LTPO screen with a 120Hz display refresh rate. The device is expected to arrive with Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC or Exynos 992, like every time, Samsung is still expected to play the region game as far as the SoC’s are concerned. The device is expected to back by a 4,500 mAh battery and comes with 45W fast charging.
