It’s been seven months since the launch of Galaxy S8. Apple has launched the iPhone X, and Razer’s Gaming Phone and OnePlus 5T are also out, which shows us that over such a short period of time we’ve seem exponential growth in terms of the changes a smartphone witnesses; some good, some bad. With the year coming to an end in a few weeks, we have a few new leaks and rumors of next year’s Samsung Galaxy S9.

Coming exclusively from BGR, this report claims that the S9 will get a design makeover, and that Samsung might be working on its own facial recognition feature in order to compete with iPhone X. We could expect a combination of the iris scanner and the facial recognition where even identical twins won’t be able to get past the phone. Reports also suggest that the S9 will be powered by Samsung’s next generation Exynos 9810 processor, which was announced not too long ago. It is said that the device will pack in either 4GB RAM or 6GB RAM.

A major design flaw that disappointed S8 users is the placement of the fingerprint sensor, but hopefully, going by the renders, that might change. However, don’t get your hopes high just yet, Samsung is not planning to implement a fingerprint sensor under the display just yet, as made apparent from the “Ghostek” case renders of the Samsung Galaxy S9. Apart from that, we might see some major improvements in the dual camera  implementation as well. And as far as display is concerned, the S9 will sport a 5.8inch QHD+ Super AMOLED curved display with an aspect ratio of 18.5:9.
