We have news for all the Apple fans out there. Turns out the upcoming iPhone SE (2022) will carry a price tag of $300 which is lower than the retail price of the iPhone SE (2020) which had a price tag of $399. Note that we don’t guarantee that since it is only a rumor so that it will be a pinch of salt.

Apple is scheduled to hold a launch event on March 8 where you would see a refreshed Apple iPad Air along with an iPhone SE+ 5G (yes, that’s what Apple will be calling the iPhone SE this year). According to analyst John Donovan, the price tag on iPhone SE+ 5G is likely $300 although another analyst Daniel Ives stated that the price tag may not be changed. This means iPhone SE+ 5G will be retailed at $399 although he did say there’s a possibility that there could be a lower-priced option aka around $300.

iPhone SE+ 5G will still have a home button since it will be based on iPhone SE (2020) which is in turn based on iPhone 8 (2017) which will be a first for Apple when it comes to refreshing its models after four generations. The phone will arrive with a powerful Apple A15 Bionic chipset that was seen in the iPhone 13 series. It will get improved cameras, and how can you forget 5G support as the phone is aptly named iPhone SE+ 5G.

Per a report, an iPhone SE with a notched display has been pushed to 2024 where Apple is like to roll out an iPhone XR or iPhone 11 inspired look.

A leakster xleaks7 and CoverPigtou shared a 3D-based render for iPhone SE+ 5G which showed a slightly changed position of the Apple logo from smack on the middle to an upper position on the back panel. It remains to be seen why Apple did it in case it turns out to be legit

For what it is worth, you will have to wait for 2024 to roll in if you want a refreshed iPhone SE which is certainly a long wait. However, with a lucrative price tag and the status of using an iPhone (for many), it will sell like a hot cake just as the upcoming iPhone SE+ 5G would certainly.
