In fact, the feature will be rolled out after a few months after Apple finds a way to resolve the issue discovered.

Group FaceTime was introduced at the WWDC event in 2018. Instagram, Houseparty, Snapchat, and few other apps allow group video call, however, there’s no app that allows 32 people to talk simultaneously as it increased overheads to a great extent which is something Apple discovered recently. The feature worked totally find at the 2018 event as well as when more than four million beta testers tried the feature, however, Apple hasn’t provided an official statement yet.

Group FaceTime allows 32 people to video call simultaneously where the videos from people are represented on tiles that switch positions and size depending upon who’s talking. The feature is deemed to launched few months after the initial release of iOS 12 but this isn’t something new with Apple as it has already held back features such as Apple Pay Cash, Airplay 2 and others when iOS 11 released last September. It took a period of a few months after which, the features was officially rolled out.
