At WWDC 2022, Apple unveiled a handful of products including the iPadOS 16, MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, M2 Chip, and counting. Well, turns out the Cupertino-based tech giant is yet to launch a new iPad Pro model this year. Speculated to arrive sometime in September or October this year, the new iPad Pro will be powered by an M2 chipset.

According to Mark Gurman, the said new iPad Pro with an M2 chipset is likely to arrive this year. There are reports from other analysts such as Ross Young who are maintaining that the iPad could arrive next year.

The upcoming iPad Pro 2022 is likely to bring several features that the current-gen iPad Pro doesn’t have. This includes the multitasking feature that iPadOS 16 rolled out but does not support on the 2020 variants. With that being said, some of the upcoming features that we are positive about are our upgrades to the camera system, wireless charging, and above all, the integration of the blazing-fast M2 chipset.

Apple already has an iPad Pro with an M1 chipset, however, the M2 chipset will surely outrun it. This is the same processor that is now powering the latest MacBook Pro and MacBook Air launched at the WWDC 2022 earlier this month.

There are reports that the upcoming iPad Pro will be the grandest of all with its 14.1-inch display. To put things into perspective, the current-gen iPad Pros are available in 11-inch and 12.9-inch which means 14.1-inch will be the largest size available on Pros. Along with that, the display will be using miniLED technology and ProMotion technology for enhanced display quality which is another positive outcome that we can expect once the iPad Pro 2022 arrives.

Note that these are reports from various sources and not from Apple or any official sources. It leaves room for some wiggling that the upcoming iPad Pro 2022 could make in terms of specifications and launch dates.
