At the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2024 in Las Vegas, Asus recently unveiled several new flagship products, including the global release of the next-gen ROG Phone 8 and ROG Phone 8 Pro. Subsequently, the Taiwanese firm has now revealed the ROG Phone 8 Pro’s Indian pricing details.

The specs of the ROG Phone 8 and Phone 8 Pro are almost identical; the base model has an Aura RGB LED logo on the back, while the latter has an AniMe Vision mini-LED system on the back. Furthermore, there are differences between the two phones’ RAM and storage options. The ROG Phone 8 Pro is available in two variations exclusively from the firm in India.

Specifications

The most significant overhaul in the lengthy history of the ROG Phone 8 series has been a complete remake. With a lighter, sleeker frame and fewer bezels, it’s transformed from a thoroughbred gaming phone into a futuristic, game-changing luxury gadget that’s ideal for gamers as a lifestyle phone.

The ROG Phone 8 Pro features a 6.78-inch Samsung AMOLED LTPO display with FHD+ resolution, a 165Hz refresh rate, up to 2,500 nits of brightness, an in-screen fingerprint scanner, and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. Under the hood, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 CPU, LPDDR5x RAM, UFS 4.0 storage, and a 5,500mAh battery with 65W wired and 15W wireless charging power the ROG Phone 8 Pro. It runs on the latest Android 14 with the ROG UI.

The device’s rear panel is equipped with a 32-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 main camera with 6-Axis Hybrid Gimbal Stabilizer-equipped OIS camera. Furthermore, it features a 32-megapixel selfie camera on the front.
