Samsung Galaxy S10+ is currently the greatest smartphone from South Korea-based giant Samsung, however, the baton will be passed on to yet another Galaxy S10 device. Samsung has confirmed the launch date for its Samsung Galaxy S10 5G officially on April 5.

The Galaxy S10 5G was slated to launch this month, however, the launch was delayed and now, the new purported date for its release is April 5 when it will be commercially available. However, the device will be launched in South Korea as said earlier which aims to the first country to have a working 5G network across three of its major mobile carriers that have been working closely with Samsung to develop the infrastructure and support 5G smartphones.

According to GSMArena, Galaxy S10 5G slated for April 5 launch comes a week earlier than Verizon is about to release its 5G network in Chicago and Minneapolis with Motorola Moto Z3 which is a 4G-enabled device with a mod that offers it 5G capability.

Similar to Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+, Galaxy S10 5G will be available with offer i.e. free Galaxy buds and 50% discount on screen replacement made within the first year after purchase. However, the device will be available between April 5 and 16 on a non-pre-sales fashion and will allow users to opt for its price tag of $1,332 or 1.5 million won to buy it off the Samsung stores first in South Korea and then in the U.S. although we don’t have the specific date for its U.S. release yet.

A quick recap of spec sheet on Galaxy S10 5G showcases that it has a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED display with 502 PPI, Corning Gorilla Glass 6 and it runs on Android Pie 9.0 bundled with Samsung One UI that was teased at the SDC 2018. The device runs on Snapdragon 855 7nm chipset (USA/LATAM) and Exynos 9820 8nm octa-core processor (EMEA) paired alongside Adreno 640, 8GB RAM, and internal storage of 256GB.

The device captures a quadruple camera setup with a 16MP ultrawide, 12MP telephoto, 12MP wide-angle, and a 3D ToF camera that resembles Galaxy S10+ capable of shooting videos at 2160p and approx. The device packs in a larger 4,500 mAh battery which is needed because 5G is power-hungry and thus, it has a 25W fast charging and 15W fast wireless charging capability along with 9W reverse charging capability.
