A few days ago, LG launched its midrange LG Q8 2018 with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset bundled with 4GB RAM, however, the leaks regarding LG Q8 suggest that there could be two different Q8 models. A new LG phone was spotted on Geekbench that might have been altered a bit to throw off people. This particular smartphone could be named as LG Q8+.

The listing on Geekbench Browser stated that a new model LM-Q815L has been paired up with chipset model number msm8953. Before LG could officially launch LG Q8 (2018), there were leaks that suggested two different models of Q8 i.e. LM-Q815L and LM-Q815S which could mean that the former is the upgraded variant of already launched LG Q8 (2018) but with a higher processor.

The Geekbench scores show that model LM-Q815L has a msm8953 motherboard with 3636MB RAM i.e. 4GB of RAM. Further, it shows that it has an octa-core ARM Qualcomm processor clocked at 1.8 GHz and the single-core score is 475 and multi-core score is 2401. But according to the previous leaks, LM-Q815L must have a Snapdragon 625 processor as opposed to the Snapdragon 450 SoC used in the released variant. Further, the SDM625 must have been clocked at 2.0 GHz and this has created confusion that the starting frequency of SDM625 is at 2.0 GHz and not 1.80 GHz. Further, the single core scores seemed to be underclocked with 475 or it could be a problem and that is why we will have to wait for some more time to get more information about it.

The speculated LG G8+ 2018 is expected to have pretty much the features of the same specification in LG G8 2018 but with an upgraded processor. This confirms that LG G8+ 2018 will have a 6.2” FHD+ FullVision LCD display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. The device is expected to sport a single lens 13MP camera at the back while the front will have a 5MP snapper. The device will be powered by a 3,300 mAh battery coupled with Quick Charge 3.0.
