The Nokia G50 5G arrives with a Snapdragon 480 SoC tired with two big cores clocked at 2.0GHz (Cortex-A76) plus six smaller Cortex-A55 cores with a frequency of 1.8GHz. It is supplied with an Adreno 619 GPU that handles the graphics part. This gives G50 a major boost in terms of performance when compared to Nokia G20 that was powered by Helio G35 instead. The phone also has a Snapdragon X51 modem that supports a sub-6 5G network with speeds of up to 2.5Gbps. The chipset is flanked with 4/6GB RAM and 64/128GB of storage that can be further extended to up to 512GB using a microSD card slot.

For the uninitiated, this covers Nokia G50 5G till Android 13 to arrive next year and the security patch will go live till the end of 2024 thanks to its G-series branding whereas the X-series of Nokia smartphones get a year of extra support on both fronts.
