- Apple is gearing up for its most-anticipated iPhone 18 Pro series launch in September 2026.
- Turns out the series will bring new color ways and here's the ones you should be looking out for including the rumored Dark Cherry.
- iPhone Fold may not bring these many options though, but will launch alongside iPhone 18 Pro series later this year.
Checking out iPhone 18 Pro series color options? Well, although it is still too early to comment, the Cupertino-based giant is probably working on at least four color variants for the iPhone 18 Pro series, and as it turns out, we now know these colorways.
Decoding iPhone 18 Pro series color options
Thanks to the folks at Macworld, the report mentions four colorways we could expect the iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max to pick up. The report does mention sources familiar with the supply chain, though it is unclear who. The iPhone 18 Pro series will have four colorways, along with their internal referencing as follows.
- Pantone 2121: Light Blue
- Pantone 426C: Dark Gray
- Pantone 427C: Silver
- Pantone 6076: Dark Cherry
Every year, Apple comes up with new colorways to push iPhone sales, and we are expecting the same with the upcoming series. Here, the Dark Cherry (deep red) color variant (Pantone 6076) is likely the hero color for the Pro models, taking the most orders, and may not arrive on the non-Pro series. In fact, even the iPhone Fold (or Ultra) may not see this color since it may likely have fewer color options, ranging from silver-white to indigo. Although it is advisable to take this bit with a pinch of salt.
Dark Cherry will take the hero lead across the iPhone 18 Pro series
Circling back to the iPhone 18 Pro series color options, the Dark Cherry colorway is set to replace last year’s Cosmic Orange, which was an instant hit. I mean, it doesn’t take much time to notice an iPhone with that color if you are walking on a public road, at least in Dubai, UAE, or Mumbai, India.
It seems like Apple wants to balance the color options, and thus, introducing two lighter and two darker shades with the iPhone 18 Pro series appears to be the way to go. The true dark shade, aka Dark Gray (Pantone 426C), is set to make its comeback, as it is certainly one of my favorite colorways on iPhones. iPhone 18 Pro series release date
It is not a surprise anymore. We will see the iPhone 18 Pro series making its splash aloud sometime in September this year (on a Tuesday, of course). We will see the iPhone Fold (or Ultra) making its maiden debut at the event as Apple’s first-ever foldable phone with a seemingly crease-less primary display, although that remains to be seen. Non-Pro iPhone 18 series will wait till early next year for their split launches.
