Following a tremendous launch of the iQOO 16 featuring the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset, the company is bringing yet another flagship smartphone first in China. That’s right, the iQOO Neo12 launch date has been announced, which clearly shows how the brand is expanding its popular Neo series.
Along with the announcement, the company has also revealed the design of its upcoming iQOO Neo12, giving us an early look and excitement ahead of its debut.
iQOO Neo12 launch date, color options, and design
iQOO has officially confirmed that the gaming smartphone will debut in China on October 28, 2026. Interestingly, the pre-orders for the device are already live. Apart from that, we have got three striking colorways for the phone and got to know about the build and camera details. We will reveal everything below.
Coming to the design, the iQOO Neo12 will arrive in three color options. They are Fierce Edge, Shadow Black, and Frost Blade Blue. Among the options, the Fierce Edge variant grabs the attention for featuring a dynamic rear-panel texture, which makes it different from the other two.
Finally, the smartphone will feature a metal frame, which makes it more durable. A lot of users, like me, personally prefer a metallic body rather than a polycarbonate or plastic build.
iQOO Neo12 specifications
iQOO did not leave the specs part vague; the company detailed key highlights, and it clearly shows that the upcoming device is focused on gaming.
The iQOO Neo12 will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. Although Qualcomm has a newer chipset called Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6, iQOO has decided to stick with the previous-gen mobile platform. Additionally, the company adds a dedicated in-house Q3 gaming chip to spice things up to improve gaming performance.
Moreover, the phone places an active cooling fan inside the rear camera module in its bottom-right corner. The fan works along with the Ice-Doming cooling system. It also serves two purposes: cooling down the phone’s temperature and giving a unique design from standard phones.
Furthermore, the Neo12 is confirmed to boast a 2K AMOLED display that delivers a 185Hz screen refresh rate.
Another significant feature is its 9000mAh battery. Nowadays, it’s more of a trend for smartphone brands to offer big-sized batteries.
