Chipmaker MediaTek introduced it’s 5G-enabled Dimensity 1000+ SoC earlier this year and we already have a smartphone sporting it. Turns out iQOO, the gaming-centric sub-brand of Vivo has announced iQOO Z1 making it the first device to sport Dimensity 1000+.

As per the specifications are concerned, iQOO Z1 resembles the iQOO Neo3 5G that was launched last month. It brings a 6.57-inch IPS LCD panel with a 2400×1080 pixel resolution along with a 20:9 aspect ratio. In fact, the device supports a hefty 144Hz refresh rate which is faster than the 120Hz gaming phones available today.

The device features a single punch-hole 16MP selfie shooter on the top-right corner while the rear sports a triple 48MP primary, 8MP ultrawide, and 2MP macro setup arranged in a vertical stack with a LED flash on the top. Furthermore, the device boasts three internal storage configurations i.e. 6+128GB, 8+128GB, and 8+256GB of UFS 2.1 storage and LPDDR4X RAM.

Next up, the phone boasts a liquid cooling heat dissipation system that iQOO claims to be effective and capable of reducing the overall core temperature by 10 to 12 degrees Celsius. This will definitely give it a boost and combined with Multi-Turbo 3.5, you can expect it to be a gaming beast sporting Dimensity 1000+.

Next up, the phone supports the faster Wi-Fi 6, dual-mode 5G including both standalone access (SA) and non-standalone access (NSA) along with 5G+5G dual SIM setup which is a relief in case you have two SIM cards with 5G support. Apart from that, the phone also has an NFC for contactless payment, superlinear dual speaker for better sound quality, and finally, a beefy 4,500 mAh battery under the hood that keeps the phone powered throughout the day. You can simply plug and charge the phone’s battery to 50% in just 23 minutes thanks to its 44W SuperFlash charge. In fact, iQOO Z1 is capable of juicing up its battery from 0% to 100% in about 59 minutes so you won’t have to wait much for the device to juice up.
