No doubt OnePlus is going to announce its next flagship devices OnePlus 8 series in Q2 2020 keeping its usual timeline in mind. However, turns out there could be a third smartphone model that might join the two that have been heavily speculated. Dubbed as OnePlus 8 Lite, the phone will share some of the specs of its flagship elder siblings but will have some toned-down details as well similar to how Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite is to its standard Note10.

A CAD-based render has appeared thanks to popular leakster OnLeaks in collaboration with 91Mobiles that predicts OnePlus 8 Lite in its glory. The phone might share some traits to its flagship variant but does have some design alterations as well.

The front is a flat display with a punch-hole front sensor. As OnePlus has confirmed that it will be using fluid AMOLED panels from now onwards, it is highly likely that OnePlus 8 Lite is actually using an AMOLED panel though flat and not curved. This also brings an under-the-display fingerprint scanner on-board since we cannot spot any side or rear-mounted fingerprint scanner that OnePlus decided to uproot with the release of OnePlus 6T with in-display FPS.

Apart from that, the phone has a rather unusual but intriguing back panel that comprises a curved rear glass. Next up, the chin is a bit thick while the side bezels are huge when compared to the upcoming OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro devices.

Furthermore, it has a dual-camera sensor within a rectangular camera bump that includes both sensors and an LED flash. It is flanked with another sensor that appears to be either a ToF or laser autofocus although we will have to wait for an official confirmation here.

Finally, the USB-C port is there with a dual SIM slot, however, it doesn’t have a 3.5mm headphone jack. Furthermore, both OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro will sport Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC as per what we know so far. However, it is likely that OnePlus 8 Pro will not carry it and might include SD855 or other chipsets but we will have to wait for its confirmation.
