What is the highest AnTuTu score for any chipset as of now? It is approx 850K scored by Nubia Red Magic 6 with a Snapdragon 888 SoC. Turns out an upcoming chipset from MediaTek has scored more than a million points on the AnTuTu benchmark test as per rumors.
MediaTek is gearing up for its next chipset launch which is touted as based on a 4nm process. Well, turns out a mysterious Vivo smartphone with a MediaTek processor codenamed MT6983 has reached a whopping 1,002,220 points on AnTuTu. This is technically way more than what the Snapdragon 888 SoC scored which is currently the most powerful processor in the Android sphere. The MT6983 is presumably the Dimensity 2000 SoC that MediaTek is expected to roll out soon.
Leakster Digital Chat Station posted the screenshot showing the benchmark score. However, the reported AnTuTu listing mentions that the scores are not verified. Apparently, it is likely a prototype version and the actual retail variant could arrive with slightly ironed-off scores.
Also, Vivo’s upcoming smartphone with version number V2184 reportedly has the chipset integrated, however, we aren’t aware of any flagship Vivo smartphone to arrive sooner although it could be a new series.
MediaTek posted a video on YouTube with details on the upcoming Dimensity 2000 SoC made on a 4nm node. It will arrive with a tri-cluster arrangement with a single Cortex-X2 core clocked at 3.0GHz, 3xCortex-A710 cores midline, and four power-efficient Cortex-A510 cores. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 898 SoC and Samsung’s Exynos 2200 SoC are expected to arrive with Cortex-X2 core at 3.0GHz as well which means all the three flagship chipsets will target the same core setup with different GPUs.
There’s no update on when can MediaTek launch the Dimensity 2000 SoC made on a 4nm node. Qualcomm has already confirmed November 30 as the date when it will launch the Snapdagon 898 SoC where Motorola and Xiaomi will be among the first takers.
