We have known that Motorola has released two generations of its foldable Razr phones already. However, the company has not received a good response from the customers which encourages them to make the next generation of this phone.

But we also know that the reason could be Samsung who has made their Galaxy Flip and Galaxy Fold into a brand that people love to buy. They are also foldable and they also have their defects but they are catering to the audience better.

Motorola, however, is not going anywhere with its Razr foldable phones as their General Manager’s Weibo post suggests. In this Weibo post, Lenovo’s Chen Jin says that they have been working on a new lineup of foldable phones.

One of the reasons why Motorola’s Razr phones failed to make a mark is because of the huge price tag but they had nothing unique to offer. While Samsung also launched their first foldable phones with a heavy price tag, they have kept on decreasing their prices as the technology has matured.

If Lenovo also does the same thing with its next foldable phones, we might see a comeback of sorts from the company. As The Verge reports, these new foldable phones will have “better processor, better interface, and a tweaked appearance”.

It is also worth noting that Lenovo needs to change the design and tweak the smartphone from the ground up rather than giving a spec-bump for the third generation of Razr phones. Because the second-generation Razr was just upgraded to 5G without changing anything else and keeping the price the same as well.

This meant that people were also not interested to buy a phone that was first launched in 2016 and had the same old design as well as problems of hinge and crease. It also looks like the phone will launch first in China and Lenovo might eventually launch it in other parts of the world.
