Samsung launched the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 last month. A few days ago, it teased the upcoming October 11 event dubbed as ‘4x Fun’ thereby speculating that Samsung could unveil a quadruple camera system with Samsung Galaxy A series of smartphone. So, Samsung Electronics unveiled two new smartphones in its J-series i.e. Samsung Galaxy J4+ and Samsung Galaxy J6+ and also teased the upcoming Galaxy A7 that will be officially launched on October 11 at Samsung’ 4x Fun event.

About the Samsung Galaxy A7, we have a list of few specs that it will carry post-launch in Europe and few other Asian countries while there are plans to launch the phone in other international markets also.

Samsung unveils Galaxy A7 with triple rear camera, Infinity Display

The Samsung Galaxy A7 sports a 6.0-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED infinity display boosting pixels resolution of 1080×2220 with 2.5D curved glass at the front and the back forming a glass sandwich form factor. The USP of the smartphone is its rear triple camera setup consisting of a 24MP mail sensor, a 5MP depth sensor, and a third 8MP ultra-wide sensor with an aperture of f/2.4 while the other two have an aperture of f/2.2 and f/1.7 respectively although these are fixed focal length and not Samsung’s dual aperture. The front camera has a powerful 24MP sensor that shoots photos at stunning details and the same goes for the rear assembly.

We don’t know as to what processor Samsung Galaxy A7 will use though there are speculations that it might come with Snapdragon 710 SoC or its equivalent in Exynos SoC, however, we do know that it will be an octa-core processor clocked at 2.2 GHz frequency thereby forming a 4x by 4x high-performance and efficient cores. Under the hood, it has a 4GB RAM with 64GB internal storage that can be maxed up to 512GB thanks to Samsung’ decision to take the internal storage to the next level.

The Infinity Display iteration of Samsung Galaxy A7 has a 3,300 mAh battery and runs on current Android 8.0 Oreo operating system with Samsung’s UI on top. There’s no doubt that it will be bumped to Android 9.0 Pie once the update is publicly available early next year.

Connectivity features include an NFC (availability might change with the region), ANT+, Bluetooth 5.0, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, GPS, GLONASS, Samsung Pay Support, 4G Volte, and of course, a 3.5mm headphone jack which recently got yanked out of Apple iPhones 7’s and above as well as OnePlus 6T and a lot of others.
