We already know that Samsung is working on its own flagship tablet series dubbed Galaxy Tab S7 and Tab S7 Plus. The South Korean giant might unveil these tablets alongside the Galaxy Note 20 series, Galaxy Fold 2, Galaxy Flip 5G, and a few other devices during the Galaxy Unpacked event which is going to take place online on August 5. The CAD Renders of the Galaxy Tab S7 series broke cover last month, which gave us a clear idea of what the flagship tablet series could look like. Now, a recent exclusive report has revealed the specifications of the larger Galaxy Tab S7 Plus.

The report comes to us from SamMobile, who now has confirmed that the Galaxy Tab S7 Plus will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Plus SoC which was announced very recently. We expect the device to be very powerful as the Snapdragon 865 Plus is the first mobile SoC to hit that 3GHz clock speed barrier. The SoC also brings in 10% faster GPU Performance over standard 865. The Snapdragon 865 Plus here will be accompanied by either 6 GB of RAM or 8 GB of RAM which will be coupled with 128 GB or 256 GB of onboard storages respectively.

The Galaxy Tab S7 might feature a 12.4-inch AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 2800 x 1752 pixels. The pixel density of this display is 267 PPI. Despite having a higher resolution, the display might not be sharp. At least when compared with the last years Galaxy Tab S6. SamMobile also added that the display will support the S Pen. As it is connected with the Bluetooth, the device can be remotely controlled using the S Pen. The S Pen implementation here could be similar to what we have seen with the last years Galaxy Tab. The source cannot confirm whether the Tab S7 will support the gesture functionality found on the Note 10’s S Pen.

As far as the network capabilities are concerned, the 5G variant of the Galaxy Tab S7 Plus will only support Sub-6 GHz frequency bands. Now, this means certain carriers in the United States will not be able to use the 5G network initially unless the company decides to build a custom variant for those carriers, just like they did with the Galaxy S20. Moving on, both the Tab S7 Plus variants i.e., LTE and 5G are expected to be backed by a whopping 10,090 mAh battery. According to the recent reports, there will be no support for 25W or 45W super-fast charging here.

As for optics, seems like Samsung did not show any interest in favor of tablet photographers if at all they exist! Jokes apart, the Tab S7 comes with a similar dual rear camera setup found on its predecessor. The primary camera here is a 13 MP shooter and 5 MP secondary camera joins the show in support. On the front, there is an 8 MP selfie camera. To conclude, Galaxy Tab S7 runs on Android 10 out of the box with One UI 2.5 skin on top.
