The render shows the phone in blue/cyan like color. It has a quad-camera setup on the back, and ditches the notch for a punch-hole camera at the front. The phone looks much premium than its predecessor and comes with smaller bezels.

Specifications:

The Samsung Galaxy A51 is expected to have a 6.5-inch Full HD+ AMOLED screen with a punch-hole camera, that Samsung calls the Infinity-O display. The punch-hole on the screen is smaller than what we have seen on some phones and houses a 32 MP camera sensor with f/2.2 aperture. The screen also has an in-display fingerprint sensor. The phone measures 158.5 x 73.6 x 7.9 mm and has a weight of 172g. It will be available in 4 colors White, Blue, Black, and Pink.

On the inside, it has a 4000 mAh battery which supports 15W fast charging, same as on the Galaxy A50. The phone is powered by the Exynos 9611 processor which confirms the Geekbench listing that appeared a few months ago. It will have several variants with either 4/6 GB of RAM and 64/128 GB of internal storage. The storage is further expandable to 512 GB via an SD card.

The main camera sensor on the phone is of 48 MP with f/2.0 aperture, paired with a 12 MP ultrawide sensor with f/2.2 aperture, a 5 MP depth sensor, and a 5 MP Macro lens with f/2.4. Macro lens can be considered as a new trend in smartphone cameras nowadays. It comes quite handy as it allows us to capture objects placed near to the camera lens clearly.

Launch date and availability:

The phone will be launched on December 12 as confirmed by Samsung Vietnam. The A50 was a mid-range phone from Samsung as it was launched for $349. We can expect the A51 to be priced at a similar price, or maybe a bit higher as it offers better specifications and design. We’ll have to wait for a week to know what all features will it come with, and at what price.
