OnePlus 6T images surfaces on Weibo, But They’re Fake

OnePlus is merely a few weeks away from its next launch of OnePlus 6T and we know a lot of information about it through numerous leaks and renders and of course, the recent video teased by OnePlus during India VS Pakistan during the Asian Cup 2018. But a set of photos have surfaced on the web specifically on Chinese social networking site ‘Weibo’.

Several images appeared on Weibo teasing the front display of the phone with Oppo R17 Pro-like waterdrop notch and an In-display fingerprint scanner where both the elements are true since OnePlus 6T will sport both the feature. However, the fact is, the images which appeared on Weibo that quickly ricocheted across hundreds of websites, is indeed fake.

'Fake' OnePlus 6T images surfaces on Weibo

According to Gadgets Now, the photos captured by a leakster on Weibo is actually an Oppo R17 Pro but with a desktop wallpaper of OnePlus. But whatever it is, we will soon get the glimpse of OnePlus 6T in few days but as of now, these images are fake.

OnePlus 6T will sport a Snapdragon 845 SoC with 6/8GB RAM and will have Android 9.0 Pie-based OxygenOS 9.0 which is something OnePlus recently released for OnePlus 6. Also, there won’t be a 3.5mm audio jack and will have OnePlus’ Warp Charge which is a rebranded version of OnePlus’ Dash Charge similar to Oppo’ VOOC fast charge. It will be launched on Amazon exclusively at around the same price tag as OnePlus 6 on October 17.
